Unitarian Universalist congregations are covenantal in their gatherings.  Which means what? Well to put it simply, we make a vow with each other that we will show up with our best selves, and when we fall short, we work to come back into the right relationship with one another.  In order to do this, we agree to:

·        Respect the wisdom of all, including our children and youth, in a friendly and loving manner.

·        Address one another as spiritual partners. Before speaking, we take a breath and think, is what I’m about to say, true, useful and kind?  If so, great, I’m ready to participate.  If not all three, then I’ll wait to contribute until I can do so in a manner worthy of my community.

·        We embrace questions and engage directly, listening deeply.
