One of my favorite books, is Lies My Teacher Told Me.  One of those lies is the placid and skewed version of events that lead to our celebration of Thanksgiving.  So, to set the record straight, I’ve written a letter to the good Governor Winthrop, who sailed the seas to come to what is now our beloved Massachusetts, to start a new kingdom upon the hill.  It’s a cheeky missive of course, but it gets to what I’d want to say to him if he were around today.
