If the idea of being vulnerable feels uncomfortable, this is the service for you. Join Twinks as she explores what it means to practice the spiritual art of vulnerability. How do we learn, grow, and thrive in our personal and community vulnerability? To be vulnerable is to take risks; calculated risk-taking will always offer valuable lessons, whether you succeed or fail in your goal.
Twinks Hastings is a credentialed religious educator and serves on the NE Liberal Religious Educators board. She has been the Director of Lifespan Religious Educator at First Parish for seven years and is passionate about our faith and moving it forward into the future. Twinks graduated Summa cum Laude with a degree in Environmental Education and Countryside Management from Glasgow University, studying at Auchincruive college.
Before finding Unitarian Universalism, Twinks worked for a decade for the YMCA at Camp Burgess and Hayward in Sandwich, teaching environmental education, leading teen trips, and creating and directing a community farm program.
When not at work, Twinks volunteers for a riding program with local youth, planning her return to Disney, doing escape rooms, going to the city, spending time with her fairy godchildren, and dreaming up as many random adventures as she can!
