Social Justice: Journeying Toward Wholeness

Working for justice increases our awareness of the interrelatedness of all people and the interdependence of all life. As Unitarian Universalists, our spiritual faith/practice and our social justice work are inextricably intertwined. After all, what is social action but ministry to a wounded world? And as the minister and author Frederick Buechner writes, “our ministries, our place of service, our action in the world will be found where our deep passion and the world’s deep hunger meet.” Finding such a place requires a spiritual journey which will hopefully help us all to feel more whole.  Come hear some of the history of the social justice work of this congregation and how our passion for creating a more just and equitable world can move us forward into the future.
