Central to the contemporary Universalist vision is the insight that humanity is one, that we are one global people. But does the Universalist lens make it hard for us to see some parts of reality? Rev. Schade explores the blind spots of the Universalist way of seeing.
Bio-Rev. Tom Schade is a retired Unitarian Universalist minister living in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. He served the First Unitarian Church of Worcester, Massachusetts between 1999 and 2013. In retirement, he writes a blog called the “Lively Tradition” (www.tomschade.com) where he explores the intersection of Unitarian Universalist theology and current events. He is also the spiritual director of a small dog who listens attentively and then does what she wants anyway.
