Religion at its root in Latin means “re” – back or again – and “ligio” – to connect or tie.  Or to put it together, “to re-connect or to tie back again.”  This is certainly true for us as we take a look at the ties that bind us to each other and what community asks of us.  This precious entity we call a religious community requires many things, one of which is to tend to the ties that bind.
