We are living in strange times. All around the country (even in MA), school districts and some public libraries are instituting draconian measures that seek to exclude a great many people from the truth, creative expression, and liberty. If anything, Unitarian Universalism is a faith of open expression and free thinkers. The American Library Association’s Banned Book Week is this very week. As a tradition, I can’t think of anything worth supporting as a faith more than their efforts to stop censorship.
*** I’d like to invite you, if you are willing and able, to bring a Banned Book to church that you are willing to share/swap with someone else.
