Reproductive Rights Task Force
The mission of the Reproductive Rights Task Force is to educate people about reproductive rights and the attempts to restrict them, to advocate for legal measures to prevent the restrictions and to act strategically where warranted. This group supports the definition of Reproductive Justice offered by Sister Song, “Reproductive Justice is the human right to maintain personal bodily autonomy, have children, not have children, and parent the children we have in safe and sustainable communities”. https://www.sistersong.net/reproductive-justice:
Examples of some of the work being done include: hosting a movie, Pre-Conceived: The Unexpected World of Crisis Pregnancy Centers, to bring accurate information to the community about the present state of reproductive rights in our country; actively supporting legislation protecting reproductive rights in Massachusetts; and, volunteering on Saturday mornings to act as escorts for women walking from their cars to their appointments at Four Women Health Clinic in Attleboro, MA, the regional clinic providing medical and surgical abortion care for women from Cape Cod and beyond.
