The Social Justice Ministries here at FPBUU are overseen by our Social Justice Committee co-chaired by Susan Trask and Katherine Farnham and supported by the whole congregation. We meet every 3rd Monday at 6:00 usually via zoom.

The SJ Committee provides energy, support and connection to individuals engaged in justice work within and beyond our walls as a core component of our spiritual commitment. Our many initiatives address poverty, homelessness, and working towards a peaceful and sustainable world. See our current initiatives below with links to more information. If you would like more information about the Social Justice Committee, please submit the contact form below.

Split Plate Sundays

This past September FPBUU moved from monthly to weekly split plates for other non-profit organizations that align with our mission and vision. Building connections and making a greater impact was the basis for this change. We thank all who have helped to make this a success. You can find out more details HERE.

Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod’s Brewster Project

Great News! As of July 31, FPBUU has contributed $51,700 of our $55,000 commitment to HHCC; we hope to complete this commitment this year. The dedication of our members who engage as volunteers, both individually and as a group, has been inspiring. We hope you will participate in this congregational project. More details on this project can be found HERE.
